The Chef – Geoffrey Zakarian

Geoffrey’s technical mastery was honed over his five-year, meteoric rise at Le Cirque, and then throughout a series of apprenticeships across Western Europe. Paul & Aaron Fernandez

Paul has been in the supermarket/high end grocery space in the New York  Metro Area for the last 40 years. He is a founder of the Union Market  brand which is renowned for its quality and operational efficiency with its  6th location opening in Bedford-Stuyvesant in 2021. Paul is also a founder  of the America’s Food Basket co-op comprising more than 55 stores  throughout the eastern sea board. Total revenue across these stores is  over $300 million in annual sales with a quickly expanding market  segment. Paul has specialized in market-beating operational models while  maximizing return on capital and achieving profitability as high as 10x  industry standard.

Paul is also a founding member of Progressive Grocery Insurance which  currently insurers over 200 independent supermarket operators.

Additionally, Paul is a former president and current board member of the National Supermarket Association, a coalition of independent  supermarket owners who own more than 400 stores nationally

Aaron has been around the supermarket industry throughout his life  having followed in his father’s footsteps. After completing an MSBA in  business analytics, Aaron played in the Detroit Tigers organization until  retiring due to injury. While completing a degree and pursuing baseball,  Aaron was tapped by Todd Bohely, part owner of the Los Angles Dodgers,  to evaluate the Dodgers current media contract. This expanded into a full  analysis of the media valuations for the MLB to be presented to Rob  Manfred, Commissioner of Baseball. Currently Aaron heads operations  for a variety of Paul’s subsidiaries including two America’s Food Basket  supermarkets. Since joining the operation, food retail profitability has  increased over 100% in both locations.


Anthony Scotto

With 25 years of success operating the critically acclaimed Fresco by Scotto, Anthony is expanding by creating a new concept. While the new creation will be Italian and will feature many of Scotto’s iconic dishes, the focus will be coastal Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.

The new creation will highlight upscale dining with a sophisticated feel, include private event spaces for corporate and social events and provide guests with a unique and memorable dining experience that is consistent with Anthony’s established brand.

Anthony is a regular contributor on various networks, including segments on the Today Show. His ability to showcase fun and exciting recipes has made him one of the most approachable food personalities in the food and beverage industry.
